Comprehensive coverage tailored for your trucking business needs.
Auto liability insurance has two components always included together: bodily injury coverage and property damage coverage. Vehicle liability insurance is the basic insurance coverage that covers injuries or damage to other people or property if you’re at fault for an accident.
If you cause an accident that injures or even kills another person, the Bodily Injury (BI) portion of your Auto Liability insurance will pay for the related expenses. Bodily Injury (BI) will cover hospital and medical bills, rehabilitation, long-term nursing care, funeral expenses, lost earnings, pain and suffering, and other expenses, up to the limits you select.
If you cause an accident that damages another person’s property, the Property Damage (PD) portion of your Liability insurance will pay for the related expenses. PD will cover the expense to repair or replace damaged items, including other vehicles, lamp posts, houses or even a pet, up to the limits you select.
Auto Liability insurance also will pay for your legal defense costs if you are sued as a result of your involvement with the accident.
Motor Truck Cargo Insurance (Cargo) provides insurance on the freight or commodity hauled by a for-hire trucker. It covers your liability for freight or commodities that are lost or damaged due to causes such as fire, collision, or striking of a load. If your load is accidentally dumped on a roadway or waterway, our removal expenses coverage pays for the cost to remove debris or extract pollutants caused by the debris.
Motor Truck Cargo will also pay for costs related to preventing further loss to damaged cargo, legal expenses in the defense or settlement of claims, and even freight charges the customer loses because of not delivering a load (Earned Freight Coverage).
General Liability insurance pays for injuries or property damage you cause as a result of business activities not directly related to operating your truck.
Workers’ Compensation law is governed by statutes in every state. Specific laws vary with each jurisdiction, but key features are consistent. An employee is automatically entitled to receive certain benefits when he or she suffers an occupational disease or accidental personal injury arising out of and in the course of employment. Such benefits may include medical and career rehabilitation benefits, cash or wage-loss benefits, and in the case of accidental death of an employee, benefits to dependents.
Truckers’ Occupational Accident Insurance is customized for owner-operators and contract drivers. Coverage pays benefits for accidental death or dismemberment, accident-related medical expenses, and temporary or continuous total disability. Owner-operators and contract drivers can increase coverage to include non-job-related accidents.
Commercial Umbrella liability insurance for truckers is available to protect against claims above and beyond the amount covered by their primary policies.
Property Protection Insurance protects the physical property and or equipment of a business against loss from theft, fire, or other perils.
